Miss, i have a question. We were learning about homo/mono/polyphonic music the other day. And i never got a chance to ask you about this song. This song is called "Telephone and Rubber Band" its by "Penguin Cafe Orchestra" You might've heard of them before. Is this song polyphonic or homophonic, and also another thing,if you listen carefully the main melody changes its beat. Its hardly noticeable but smart! Here is the link to the song : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZygIVDql8Bk (p.s) Dont even ask about the video, i really dont know...
Hi Daragh That's a really interesting piece of music. The music that sounds like a dial tone throughout the piece is called an ostinato. This is a tune that continuously plays. I would say this piece is mostly polyphonic, as there are more than one tune being played most of the time. Really good question Daragh! And yes, the video is a bit weird!!!
Hey miss, we all wanna say congratulations on your new baby holly/hollie! We look forward to seeing you in september, we all miss you, hope your doing well and that Holly is happy, healthy and behaving well!!! Good luck!!!
